STARBRIDGE MEDIA GROUP PARTNERS WITH CHECKERS/RALLY’S AND DAYTONA 500 EXPERIENCE FOR IN-STORE PROMOTIONAL KIDS MEAL PROGRAM

Starbridge Media Group produces racing-oriented in-store promotional publications for Checkers/Rally’s featuring characters from the “NASCAR Heroes” comic book series

Starbridge Media Group, Inc has partnered with Checkers/Rally’s to produce an auto racing-themed in-store promotional kids meal program for the chains’ stores nationwide, Starbridge CEO Jamie Crittenberger announced today. The promotion launched nationally on July 9, 2009 and is slated to run for approximately six weeks.

Beginning July 9, Checkers/Rally’s kids meals will feature a “collect all three” series which highlights the unique lead characters from Starbridge’s original, officially-licensed comic book series, “NASCAR Heroes,” the first line of the “NASCAR Comics” branded and licensed publications. The meal packets include mini comic books, stand-up bookmarks, POP material, and visually powerful bag packaging. The program also features a free entry coupon and content partnership with the Daytona 500 Experience, which is the official attraction of NASCAR.

The custom comic book giveaway program will be introduced to fans in conjunction with the 2009 Coke Zero 400 at the Daytona International Speedway. The mini comic book activation will feature three recognizable characters from Starbridge’s officially-licensed “NASCAR Heroes” line-up: Jimmy Dash, Jack Diesel, and Shoque, each with an original story line. The meal program will enhance fan fervor, distribute collectible inventory, and promote literacy and racing in all Checkers/Rally’s stores, with production volume totaling 675,000 units.

Checkers/Rally’s is the nation’s largest chain of double drive-thru restaurants. With two drive-thru lanes and a walk-up window at more than 800 locations, the chain is ideally positioned for today’s on-the-go guest.

“We feel strongly that creating a program that offers collectible items and character variety from our line of high visibility publications will encourage product longevity, brand affinity, and repeat business for Checkers/Rally’s restaurants and the Daytona 500 Experience,” said Ken Hutman, President of Starbridge Media Group. “This initiative is a creative way to combine reading and racing for families on the go.”
