Jamie Crittenberger, Chief Executive Officer
Jamie Crittenberger oversees Starbridge's relationships with teams, leagues, athletes, agencies, and corporate brands. He brings a wealth of experience to Starbridge Media Group, having worked since 1988 in multiple functional areas for high profile sports and entertainment entities in professional, collegiate, agency, and broadcast realms, including Viacom, Clear Channel Entertainment, SFX Sports, and the Washington Redskins.
Mr. Crittenberger holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Virginia, where he was selected to live on the Academical Village Lawn. He later received his Masters of Business Administration from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia, where he was selected by his classmates and faculty to deliver the school's commencement address. His current entrepreneurial activities include ownership in The Starboard Restaurant in Dewey Beach, DE and membership in Sports Venture Partners, LLC.
He is married, with three young children, and resides in McLean, VA.
Ken Hutman, President
Ken Hutman is President of Starbridge Media Group, Inc. In this role, Mr. Hutman oversees Starbridge’s international advisory work, creative services and content development initiatives.
In addition to advising and representing companies, Mr. Hutman has directed ventures in a variety of markets. Mr. Hutman founded America's Favorite Cookies (AFC), a fresh-baked cookie retail franchise and distribution system in Taiwan, the Republic of China (ROC). Between 1992 and 1994, Mr. Hutman operated this system in the ROC before selling the master franchise rights. He also runs an animation company that has produced animated programming for international clients in a studio based in Shanghai, China. Credits include image branding for MTV-Asia, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Channel [V] as well as episodic production for US network and sports clients. Work produced under Mr. Hutman's direction has won recognition, including four Emmy awards, three Telly awards, and the Promax.
In September 1999, Mr. Hutman sponsored and shared management and presentation responsibilities for a major conference in Beijing on Investment in China's Entertainment Industry. The conference brought together senior members of Chinese government agencies and China’s leading investment institutions, with Chinese firms that regulate, control and operate the major entertainment media in China. Mr. Hutman also advises the Korea Oversees Trade Representative Office (KOTRA), a ROK’s government institution, and has presented at KOTRA conferences on issues relating to trade, investment and government policy. In addition, Mr. Hutman on behalf of the Taiwan Economic Trade Representative Office has testified before the US ITC on the issue of a Free Trade Agreement between the US and the ROC. Mr. Hutman participated in the International Franchise Association 1992 conference in Hong Kong, and contributed two chapters on Taiwan and South Korea for a book analyzing the origins of economic development in the "Four Dragons."
Mr. Hutman also served on the Board of 3C, an enterprise software firm. He has also worked as an international investment consultant for Neill and Co. and served in the economics section of the U.S. Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria.
Mr. Hutman has also worked in the Smithsonian Institution's Arthur M. Sackler Gallery (Asian Art) and National Museum of African Art as well as the National Palace Museum in Taipei. His earlier Washington experience includes an internship in the United States Congress, Office of Congressman Bill Nelson (Currently Sen. Bill Nelson, D-FL).
Mr. Hutman received a B.A. in International Studies from Vassar College and has an M.A. in International Economics and China studies from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Mr. Hutman served on the Arlington County Neighborhood Conservation Advisory Committee and is a member of the Dawson Terrace Community Center Advisory Board. Jeff Bocan is a Starbridge Media Group, Inc. board member and serves as a Managing Director at Beringea, a US & London-based private equity firm focused on investing in rapidly growing companies in the media sector. He oversees Beringea's Los Angeles office.
Beringea's Global Rights Fund II is an investor in Starbridge Media Group, Inc., having completed its first round of funding in Starbridge in November, 2004. Mr. Bocan is a board member of five other Beringea portfolio companies, which are mostly media-based companies ranging from digital marketing, TV production and DVD and Internet publishing companies.
Mr. Bocan is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and earned an MBA from the University of Virginia. He is married, with three children, and resides in Santa Monica, CA.
